Recently Esoteric Entity has been claiming that he legally changed his name to an unnamed yet well-known celebrity to help disguise his real-life<\/a> information. So if anyone attempts to do a Google search on him, you would only get info about this celebrity instead of him. A lot of people believe him. Did he?

Short answer<\/strong>: No.<\/em>

Long answer<\/strong>: In the United States there are ruled regarding legally changing your name. Your new name cannot contain<\/a> numbers, trademarked names, punctuation marks, anything obscene, or famous people\u2019s names. The reason for that is to avoid misleading the public and fraud.

Why bother with all of the hassles of going to court to try and fight for an exception that you won\u2019t get to change your name to Tom Cruise when you can choose a rather inconspicuous and very common name like \u201cJacob Johnson\u201d or \u201cAl Smith\u201d or \u201cJohn Jones?\u201d

Well, there is an answer; he didn\u2019t change his name. Anyone who\u2019s tried to change their name would have been greeted with that important and fundamental rule of name changes before you fill out the paperwork for a name change. If you dig even past the surface of what he says most of the time, you\u2019ll quickly find out how easily refutable it is he knows that his audience is too gullible to fact check him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
